Hi and welcome to our website! We are the girls of Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority here at the University of Maryland- College Park. We are currently the largest active asian-interest sorority on campus. As a sorority, we strive to overcome challenges and commit to excellence in everything we do. As friends, we depend on one another for guidance, strength, and love as we try and find our place as strong, independent women. October is the month for Domestic Violence Awareness. Since Sigma Psi Zeta's national philanthropy is Combatting Violence Against Women, we have been very busy this month. Mid-october, Sigma Psi Zeta has come together with UMCP's health center, more specifically the Sexual Assault Response Prevention Program (SARPP), to promote DV month by attending the Survivor Garden Dedication. Sisters planted bulbs in front of the health center in remembrance of victims of relationship/sexual violence. More recently sisters have participated in The Clothesline Project. It is an annual event that promotes the awareness of violence against women and has become an effective healing tool for victims. So let's open our eyes and live the pledge.
