The act of hazing directly contradicts the purpose for which Sigma Psi Zeta was created, founded, and incorporated. We seek to support leaders, not to break them down. Hazing in any form or degree has no place in our organization.

Sigma Psi Zeta does not degrade or physically abuse our SYZters, newly joined or otherwise. We give our SYZters and prospective SYZters the same respect that we as strong womxn demand. It is our belief that the practice of hazing is a typically demeaning and cruel act, and a violation of both the self and the rules and regulations of all colleges and universities. Thus, as an organization advocating the empowerment of womxn everywhere, we do not condone acts such as these, as it goes against the goals and beliefs of the SYZterhood of Sigma Psi Zeta.

Any pre-initiation activity shall be of a constructive nature in accordance with the purposes and objectives of the Sorority, and all forms of hazing are prohibited. All undergraduate memberships of Sigma Psi Zeta are required to review our policy at the beginning of each academic year. Those who violate the code of conduct will be expelled from the organization.
